Obituary

Mr. Carlton Murray Dew, 78, of Cottageville, entered into rest Wednesday afternoon, May 13, 2026, at his residence.

Born October 5, 1947, in Charleston, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Murray Grover Dew and the late Mary Frances Evans Dew. He served our country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a Market Manger after twenty-eight years from Harris Teeder. He was a member of the Ridgeville Church of God and will always be remembered for centering his life around his loving family as well as his passion for fishing.

Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Donna Huggins Dew; five children, Teresa Tilley, Debbie Feagler (David), Norma Keller (Kenny), LeVonda Melton (Timmy), and Cliff Dunahoe; a sister, Doris Taylor (William); as well as fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Addison Rose Dew; and a brother, Samuel Ray Dew.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in his memory to: Wounded Warrior Project, Post Office Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, May 16, 2026, from the Ridgeville Church of God, 444 School Street, Ridgeville. The Reverend Dr. Charles Houston officiating. Interment will follow in Fox Cemetery in Round O.
