Mrs. Cameron Carter Wimberly, 89, of Broxton Bridge Road, Bamberg, entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Uni-Health Post Acute Care of Bamberg. She was the widow of Richard F. Wimberly.
Funeral services will be held 3 o'clock, Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Ehrhardt. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Wimberly was born October 11, 1922 in Bamberg County and was a daughter of the late James Rob Carter and Ruth Morris Carter. She was a retired sales clerk for B.C. Moore's in Bamberg and was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She loved sewing and cooking for her family and friends.
Surviving are: her daughters, Dixie George and her husband Bobby of Smoaks and Mickey Thomas and her husband Jimmy of Bonneau; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Cleo Strickland.
