Mr. Bruce Spencer Pulis, 57, of Hemingway, entered into his state of eternal rest Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted 6 oclock Thursday evening, October 21, 2010, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.
The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony in the Harbiston Stateroom of the Funeral Home until 8 oclock that evening.
Mr. Pulis was born September 16, 1953, in Mineola, New York and was a son of the late Joseph Walker Pulis and the late Muriel Sundman Pulis. Bruce loved the outdoors and especially loved shrimping. For many years, he was a shrimper for the Baldwin family at B and B Seafood at Bennetts Point. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, crabbing and gardening, and he was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are: two children, Brian Pulis and Lacy Pulis both of Walterboro, along with their mother, Annette Nugent Pulis; three step-sons, Lee Morris and Joey Morris both of Walterboro, and Kelly Morris of Amherst, Ohio; and their mother and Bruces beloved companion for over twenty years, Pamela Morris of Hemmingway. There are three brothers, Rick Pulis and Jeff Pulis both of Texas and Matt Pulis of New York; and three sisters, Andrea Schoemmell of New Hampshire, Jill Woodward of Georgia, and Lori Pulis of Vermont; as well as four grandchildren.
