Brenda Sue Sykes

Mrs. Brenda Sue Sykes, 49, of Freeman Lane, Round O, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Sykes was born July 26, 1963 in Kalamazoo, Michigan and was a daughter of Grace Blokzyl Kring and the late Sherman Lance. She was a member of Bedon Baptist Church and loved arts, crafts and semi trucks. She dearly loved her family and especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are: her husband, Steven R. Sykes of Round O; her mother, Grace B. Kring of Summerfield, Florida; children, Steven R. Sykes, Jr. of Mojave Valley, Arizona, Jamie Matthews of Summerville, and Tammy Elliott of Colton, California; sisters, Cornelia M. Bump of Wyalusing, Pennsylvania and Laurie A. Lance of Summerfield, Florida; brother, Richard C. Levengood of Henderson, Nevada; and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammy Sue Burgess.
