Biography

Mrs. Brenda Hiott Lewis, 66, of Canadys entered into her eternal rest Friday, August 19, 2011, at Heartland of Charleston.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Canaan Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Mrs. Lewis was born July 3, 1945 in Walterboro and was a daughter of the late Fletcher Hiott and Rachel Bailey Coe. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and also attended Victory Baptist Church. She was an avid bingo player with the Senior Citizens group. She loved to fish and cook. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

Surviving are: her husband of thirty four years, Raymond C. Lewis, two sons, Randall Lewis and his wife, Stephanie of Moncks Corner and Billy Lamb Lewis of Walterboro, four daughters, Melanie Kittrell of Ruffin, Lisa Fennell and her husband, Sammy of Round O, Paula Carter and her husband, Mark of Ridgeland and Tonja Walker of Pineland, two brothers, Roy Hiott of Jefferson, TX and Danny Coe of Walterboro, three sisters, Rev. Dolly Stone of Walterboro, Martha Ann Ebarb of Jefferson, TX and Marie Winterrose of Fort Mohave, AZ. Seventeen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren also survive. She was predeceased by a son, Billy Lamb, a daughter, Stella Lynn Lewis and a brother.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
