Biography

Mrs. Brenda Jane Classen Abreo, 68, of Lakeshore Drive, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 15, 2011 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Abreo was born December 17, 1942 in Charleston, SC and was a daughter of the late Henry and Beatrice Rourke Classen. She was a retired bank teller from South Carolina Bank and Trust and touched many lives while working there. Mrs. Brenda loved to cook for her family and friends and was someone who was always there when you needed her; but most importantly, she loved her family beyond measure and centered her life around them.

Surviving are: her husband, Gene R. Abreo of Walterboro; son, Ricky Abreo and his wife Cathy of Walterboro; grandson, Matthew Reece Abreo and his wife Corrine of Jacksonville, Florida; goddaughter, Danielle Smoak Carter of Lodge; brother, Randall Classen of Charleston; sister, Betty Walthall of Charleston; and brother-in-law, Ralph Abreo and his wife Jean of Aiken. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Reed Abreo.
