Mr. Larry Brad Robertson, 40, of Log Cabin Lane, Smoaks, entered into rest following a tragic accident Friday morning, September 6, 2013 in Colleton County.
Funeral services will be conducted 4 oclock Monday afternoon, September 9, 2013, from Little Swamp United Methodist Church, 17454 Hunters Chapel Road, Smoaks. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
Born July 3, 1973, a native of Walterboro, he was a son of Mrs. Evelyn Bennett Robertson and the late Mr. Larry Gene Robertson. Since the age of 17, Brad had been a dedicated and loyal employee at Lucas Electric in Walterboro where he was currently a service technician and well known for his strong work ethic. His devotion to his trade allowed him to be NATA certified as well as being certified in heat pump, gas, and refrigeration work. He was a member of Little Swamp United Methodist Church where he was serving as a member of the Trustee Board and was also active with the churchs youth group. He will be fondly remembered for his gentle and sweet nature, his love for the beach, and his love for working in his yards.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Smoaks are: his wife of fourteen years, Mrs. Barbie Nesbitt Robertson; a son, Codey Edwin Robertson; and a daughter, Tiffani Amber Robertson. There are four sisters, Paddy Groves and her husband Jimmy, Alicia McCall, Akacia Chase and her husband Andy, and Kayla Shaffer and her husband Jeff and their children all of Smoaks; his father and mother-in-law, Ted and Dianne Nesbitt of Smoaks; a grandmother-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Bennett of Smoaks; a brother-in-law, Tinker Nesbitt and his son of Bamberg; and a uncle, Harold Robertson and his wife Della of Walterboro. There are also special friends, Ricky and Lorie Ann Caldwell and their children, Tanner Caldwell and James Vernon Goodwin of Ruffin as well as other relatives to include, Jennifer Morris and family, Vickie Weathers and family and Jeanie Traxler. He was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Robertson.
