Bonnie Stone

Mrs. Bonnie Hoff Stone, 81, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Monday morning, November 28, 2022.  She was the widow of Mr. James Lamar "Nut" Stone, Sr., to whom she married 46 years.

Born August 13, 1941 in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Wilford Oren Hoff and Pernell Benton Hoff.  She was a retired salesclerk from Belk in Walterboro.  She was a member of Walterboro Church of God, where she was President of the Senior Citizen group.  She dearly loved her church and attended faithfully and serving wherever she could until her health declined.  Most of all, Mrs. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who loved spending time with her family.  She especially enjoyed cooking big Sunday dinners for her family and sitting in the swing with her grandchildren and singing “You are my Sunshine” to them.

Surviving are: her children, Debra Lynn Stone Stivender and her husband Raymond of Cottageville, James “Mark” Lamar Stone, Jr. and his wife Sheri of Walterboro, and James Scott Stone of Walterboro; grandchildren, Chris Stivender and his wife Cassie, Bailey Stone, Chandler Stone Pafford and her husband Dean, and Emily Stone; great grandchildren, Sydney Stivender, Ally Stivender, Dallas Stivender, Luke Pafford, and one on the way; brother, Pat Hoff and his wife Annette of Charleston; and a sister, Linda Kofron and her husband Bill of Walterboro.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Wednesday morning, November 30, 2022 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Jefferies Highway, Walterboro.
