Martin of Martin Well Drilling and the late Betty Morningstar Martin of The Rum Gully Christmas Lights.   She came home to Rum Gully when she was only four days old following her grandfather’s (Papa’s) death.  There were five children in her family.  Bonnie, who spent most of her life by her beloved Mama’s side, Jacquelyn Martin Jarrell of Walterboro, the late John Dorrell Martin, Sr. who died in 2009, and his surviving wife, Barbie of Islandton, the late Margie Beasley who died in 2004, and a four-month-old baby, Connie, who died on December 23rd, 1954.   Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews and twenty great nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was a very talented and creative person.  In her earlier years, she was employed at Kentucky Finance; however, her devotion and greatest pride was her love and devotion to her mother.   She was a true mother to her beloved K9 companions, “Woogie” and “Happy”.
