Bobby Waltz

Mr. Robert Glen “Bobby “ Waltz, 76, of Smoaks, entered into rest Thursday evening, April 22, 2021, at the Pruitt Health Care Center in Walterboro.

Born June 24, 1944, in Ruffin, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Robert Lee Waltz and the late Jewell Smith Waltz.  He served in the South Carolina National Guard and was a retired loom operator from Asten Hill in Walterboro.   He was a member of Smoaks Baptist Church.  Bobby will always be remembered for his love of collecting and old cars.

Surviving are: a sister, Ann Waltz Padgett of Smoaks and several nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Waltz Bunton and her husband James Franklin Bunton as well as a brother-in-law, Graham Padgett.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, April 25, 2021, from the graveside at Smoaks Baptist Churchyard, 443 Lodge Highway, Smoaks.  The Reverend Dan Stroman officiating.   The family will receive friends following the funeral service.
