Bobby Ray Green

Mr. Bobby Ray Green, 75, of Walterboro, entered into rest Tuesday afternoon, February 15, 2022, at his residence while under the care of Amedisys Hospice.  He was the loving husband of the late Mrs. Beverly Ann Fowler Green.

Born October 11, 1946, in Birmingham, Alabama, he was a son of the late Roy Clifton Green, Sr.  and the late Vera Nell Williams Green.   He served our country faithfully in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era.  He was an electrician, having retired from the Naval Weapons Station in Goose Creek.  Bobby was always busy and always in the middle of a project.  He enjoyed cars and was especially fond of restoring El Caminos.  He was an extremely avid fisherman.

Surviving are: four daughters, Debbie Green Petrie, Kelly Green Pedigo and her husband Rev. James, Sr., Elizabeth Parrish Farish, and her husband Geoffrey, and Ann Hough Boyette and her husband Jeffery; a brother, Jerry Michael Green; and his twin sister, Barbara England.  He is also survived by six grandchildren, Carrie Boyette Gay and her husband Charles, Grace Farish, Jacob Farish, James “Jamie” Pedigo, Jr., Kaleigh Pedigo, and Sydney Pedigo, two great grandchildren, James “Jameson” Pedigo, III and Miller Gay; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Clifton Green, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in his memory to: In His Name Colleton, 1033 Bells Highway, No. 146, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:30pm Friday afternoon, February 18, 2022, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The Reverend David Jackson officiating.   Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Churchyard, 7345 Jefferies Highway, Walterboro.
