Mr. Robert William Burns, Jr., affectionately known by all as Bobby age, 51, of Orchard Road, Yemassee, entered into rest Saturday afternoon, November 23, 2013, in Colleton County.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Wednesday afternoon, November 27, 2013, from Black Creek Baptist Church, 4931 Black Creek Road, Walterboro. The Reverend Scott Hannah officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
Born January 18, 1962, a native of Ocala, Florida, he was a son of Mr. Robert William Bob Burns, Sr. and Mrs. Joyce Waldron Hennen. Bobby was known as a hardworking man during his nearly thirty year career as a lineman, having currently been a line foreman for Ertel. He was of the Baptist faith, and will be fondly remembered for his love of fox hunting and fishing as well as his dedication and love he possessed for his family.
Surviving in addition to his father, Bob of Yemassee and his mother, Joyce of Yemassee are: his wife, Donna Eason-Burns; five sons, Robert William Robbie Burns, III and his wife Crystal of Cottageville, Daniel Lee Garnsey and his wife Shannon of Ruffin, Andrew F. Burns of Yemassee, Zachary William Burns of Yemassee, and Nicholas Robert Burns of Yemassee; a daughter, Heather Burns Reynolds and her husband Dalton of Yemassee; and two sisters, Cynthia Gail Driggers and her husband Gary of Yemassee and Brenda Burns Jackson and her husband Anthony of Mayo, Florida. There are five grandchildren, Ryan, Hannah, and Wyatt Burns, Gavin Reynolds, and Alexander Garnsey as well as several nieces and nephews that also survive.
