Billy Willis, Sr

Mr. William Archie "Billy" Willis, Sr., 69, of Parkers Ferry Road, died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Roper Hospital.



Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Hopewell Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of service at the church.



Mr. Willis was born June 17, 1941 in Charleston and was a son of the late Abraham Lincoln Willis and Ruth Elizabeth Smith Willis. He loved hunting, wood working and working in his yard.



Surviving are: his wife, Carol Sineath Willis; children, Billy Willis, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Summerville, Matt Willis and his wife Malinda of Summerville, Karen Lockerman and her husband Scott of Cottageville and Bryan Willis and his wife Kim of Ravenel; brothers, Joe Willis and Shorty Willis, both of North Charleston; sister, Pat Willis of North Charleston; grandchildren, Jennifer, Kathryn, Blake, Tori, Matthew, Jr., Brooke, Tailor, Brenna, Jacob, Clay, Ashlee, Toby, Jr. and Macy; great grandchildren, Logan and Rhiley; and many nieces and nephews.
