Beverly Lemacks

Ms. Beverly Gail Lemacks, 68, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest on Friday afternoon, February 18, 2022, at her daughter’s residence in Bluffton.

Born January 7, 1954 in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Conrad Smith, Sr. and Patricia Ann Smith.  She worked for many years at the fireworks stores in Walterboro and then went to work with her daughter at ABC Cleaners.  She will always be remembered as someone who loved everyone, never judged anyone and always found forgiveness.  She would help anyone who came her way, took care of everyone, but most of all, her family was what was most important to her.

Surviving are: her children, Katherine Michelle Avery of Bluffton and Joseph Wilson Polk of Walterboro; brother, Joseph Conrad Smith of Green Pond; sisters, Peggy Rast of Georgia, Shirley Lyles of Walterboro, and Jackie Rebenski of Georgia; special friend, Cheryl Kelly of Walterboro; grandchildren, Randy Allen Crosby, Jr., Courtney Michelle Crosby (Jose), Corey Leon Avery (Brittany), Craig Leon Avery, Jr. (Valerie), Christopher Michael Lemacks, Jacob Wilson Polk, and Gabriel Lemacks; great grandchildren, Julie Nicole Cook, Randy Allen Crosby, III, Daqaun Bush, Monte Bush, Aleeah Avery, Apollo Crosby, Kilaya Crosby, Timothy Avery, Skylar Tuten, and Carleigh Avery; and great great granddaughter, Brynleigh Nacole Crosby.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Vernon Lemacks, Sr.; her son, Sergeant John Vernon Lemacks, Jr. (United States Army); brother, Robin Smith; and a sister, Theresa Hall.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon, February 22, 2022, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 1 o’clock.
