Beverly Kramer

July 19, 1944 — July 19, 2011

Biography

Mrs. Beverly Ann Kramer, age 67, entered into her eternal rest Tuesday afternoon, July 19, 2011, at her home located on Alabama Street in Hampton.

The relatives and friends of Mrs. Kramer are invited to attend a celebration of her life which will be conducted at 11 o'clock Friday morning. July 22, 2011, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Varnville. Interment will follow in Hampton Cemetery on Holly Street East, Hampton.

Mrs. Kramer was born July 19, 1944, in Allendale County, South Carolina, and was the daughter of John Edward Lightsey and Mary Francis Brabham Yokeley. At the age of five, her mother married Clete Yokeley following the death of her father. Her hard work and devotion led her to be the founder of Kramer's Real Estate in Hampton where she served as Broker-in-Charge as well as her most well known acquisition and development of Kramer Apartments. Another venture she took great interest in was the food and beverage industry. She formerly owned and operated the Pizzeria in Hampton for several years. No matter where her life travels led, or the obligations her duties required of her, Beverly always placed her family above all else. She acknowledged with pride and gladly showed to everyone that her family, especially her grandchildren, was the greatest joy her life had afforded. She always placed their needs and wants above all else. A lifetime dedicated to service allowed for few pastimes she enjoyed such as bowling to be had, but in those sparingly few moments in life, she could be found without fail at one of her favorite shopping points.

Surviving in addition to her mother of Hampton are: her husband of fifty-one years, Mr. Harry Rae Kramer; three children, Dr. Jeff Kramer and his wife Rachel Harper Kramer of Walterboro; Jerry Kramer and his wife Ginger Bennett Kramer of Blythewood, and Jennifer Kramer Crosby and husband Ronnie L. Crosby of Hampton; and five grandchildren, Courtney Kramer, Scott Kramer, Jenna Kramer, Parker Crosby and Sydney Crosby.
