Betty Jean Throckmorton

Mrs. Betty Price Throckmorton, 92, of Walterboro, entered into rest Tuesday morning, August 1, 2023, at Summerville Community Hospice.

Born March 21, 1931, in Meigs County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Chester Pruden Price and the late Elsie Mae Woodrum Price.  She served as the Chief Financial Officer at a senior citizens center and was a member of Saint James/Santee Parish Episcopal Church in McClellanville.   She was also a licensed private pilot as well as a licensed home builder.

Surviving are: a daughter, Leslie Throckmorton of McClellanville and a sister, Laura Schmitt and her husband Larry of Ritter.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Schmitt.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 o’clock Friday afternoon, August 4, 2023, from the graveside in Temple Cemetery near Albany, Ohio.
