Betty Crosby Hewitt

Mrs. Betty Ann Crosby Hewitt, 72, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, July 4, 2026, at her residence.

Born May 17, 1954, in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Crosby, Sr. and Elizabeth Crosby. She was a sales representative for Avon and worked as a convenience store clerk for many years. She dearly loved her family and especially loved all her cats and taking care of them.

Surviving are: her husband, Michael Paul Hewitt; son, Craig Anthony Lewis; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Calvin “Cornbread” Crosby, Jr., Jessie Crosby, Charles Crosby, and Clyde Crosby.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Thursday morning, July 9, 2026, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5277 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 am.
