Biography
Mrs. Betty Wood Beach, 77, of Parkers Ferry Road, Adams Run, entered into her state of eternal rest Sunday morning, April 17, 2011, at her son's residence.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, April 20, 2011, from Hopewell Baptist Church, 6869 Parkers Ferry Road, Adams Run. Interment will follow in the churchyard. Family and friends are invited to call at the church from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday evening.

Mrs. Beach was born September 13, 1933, in Adams Run and was a daughter of the late James Hinton Wood, Sr. and the late Carrie Barwick Wood. She was a homemaker and currently was a seamstress. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, loved her grandchildren, was active in her church, and enjoyed good Southern cooking.
Surviving are: a son, Kenneth Wallace Godbee and his wife Tina of Ravenel; two grandchildren, Adam James Godbee and Shelby Nicole Godbee both of Ravenel, a sister, Joyce Wood Bishop and her husband Roger of Adams Run; and brother, James Hinton Wood, Jr. of Adams Run. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Maggie Wood and Tiny Elizabeth Brown.
