Mrs. Betty Jane Herndon Baldwin, affectionately known to those she loved as Nanie Sugar, 77, of Parkwood Circle, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 6, 2012 at her residence. She was the widow of the late Patrick Ray Baldwin.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Monday, October 8, 2012 at Grace Advent Christian Church. Interment will follow In the church cemetery.
Mrs. Baldwin was born January 17, 1935 in Walterboro and was a daughter of the late Lonnie Herndon and Janie Valentine Herndon Craven. She was a retired clerk for the Wal-Mart Pharmacy in Walterboro. She was a lifelong member of Grace Advent Christian Church and loved to read.
Surviving are: her children, Donald Ray Baldwin and his wife Ella Baldwin of Toccoa, Georgia and Cathy Baldwin Crosby and her husband Barry G. Crosby of Walterboro; grandchildren, Jason G. Crosby and his wife Sandra of Dayton, Ohio, Adam R. Baldwin of Toccoa, Georgia, Cory D. Crosby of Bluffton, Trish Baldwin of Toccoa, Georgia and Travis G. Crosby of Summerville; great grandchildren, Jennifer Bishop of Dayton, Ohio, Addison Rae Baldwin of Toccoa, Georgia and Michael G. Crosby of Dayton, Ohio; brother, Thomas Craven and his wife Georgia of Macon, Georgia; and sister, Miriam McAlhaney and her husband Gerald of Walterboro She was preceded in death by a sister, Annette Bobby Keith.
