Bessie Lee Hoff Beach, 93, of St. Augustine, Florida, entered into eternal rest Monday, January 22, 2024. She was the widow of the late Harold Rudolph Beach, to who she was married 42 years.
She was born May 17, 1930, in Cottageville, South Carolina, to the late John W. Hoff and Mary Lula Ackerman. When attending high school, she won "Best All Around Girl", has always had spunk and considered a "tough nut". Mrs. Beach worked for many years at Asten Hill in Walterboro, where she worked on the felt line checking for defects. She had also worked for WT Grant. After moving to Jacksonville, Florida, she was a stay-at-home mother.
Surviving are: her four grandchildren, Amanda Rosa, Nicole Rodgers Tweed (Zach), Hannah Greer and Jesse Greer; three great grandchildren, Grayson, Liza, and Freya; and a special friend and caregiver, Marilyn Dorsey. She was preceded in death by her son, Monty Irvin; and her daughters, Betsy Irvin Rodgers and Nancy Beach Greer.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, January 27, 2024, at the graveside in Jordan Cemetery, Addison Road, Cottageville, South Carolina.
