Bert Benton

Mr. Denmon Albert Benton, known to everyone as “Bert”, 59, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 3, 2024, at Trident Medical Center.

Born October 31, 1964, in Colleton County, he was the son of the late John Marshall Benton, Sr. and the late Patricia Ann Walling Borders.  Bert was a member of Cottageville Baptist Church.  He was a true patriot and loved his country.  He also enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are: his brother, Marty Benton and his wife Sandee of Indianapolis, Indiana; his former wife, Terri Dale Craft of Anderson; stepson, Lee Craft; nephew, Mark Benton; and niece, Tara Benton.  He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his stepfather, Bob Borders.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, June 6, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
