Berlin Howard

Mr. Berlin Howard, 88, of Walterboro, entered into his eternal rest Monday morning, January 3, 2011, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. He was twice married, first to the late Mary Leiper Howard and secondly to the late Jewel Deer Howard.



Funeral services and committal will be handled in New London, Connecticut.



Mr. Howard was born July 28, 1922, in Ruin, Kentucky, and was a son of the late William G. Howard and the late Florence Howard Howard. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and was a retired electrician from General Dynamics. He was of the Baptist Faith.



Surviving are: a son, Carl Howard of Norwich, Connecticut; a daughter, Leslee Robinson of Walterboro; two brothers, Avery Howard of Charleston and John Howard of Tennessee; two sisters, Jennie Evans of Jamestown, Tennessee and Joan Upchurch of Nashville; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Arthur Howard and Scott Howard; and a grandson.
