Benjamin Litchfield, Jr

Mr. Benjamin Franklin Litchfield, Jr., affectionately known by many as "Ben", age 57, of Geneva, Alabama, formerly of Walterboro, entered into his eternal rest Sunday morning, July 10, 2011, in Geneva.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Thursday morning, July 14, 2011, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Entombment will follow in Glendale Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

Mr. Litchfield was born November 10, 1953, in Walterboro, and was a son of Mrs. Mary Gentry Litchfield and the late Mr. Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Litchfield, Sr. He was a technician with Lincoln Fabrics in Geneva, Alabama and was a member of Hendersonville Baptist Church. He possessed an avid love for classic automobiles, and one of his most prized possessions was his 1967 RS,SS Camaro.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Walterboro are: his wife, Mrs. Polly Lyons Litchfield; a son, Daniel B. Litchfield of Ridgeland; two step-sons, Anthony Holt of Walterboro and Barry Holt of Summerville; a step-daughter, Debbie Holt of Walterboro; and two brothers, Edwin W. Litchfield and Timmy L. Litchfield both of Walterboro. There are seven grandchildren that also survive.
