Mrs. Barbara Ann Smyly, 66, of Walterboro, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Smyly Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 pm until the hour of service.
Mrs. Smyly was born January 5, 1948 in Colleton County and was a daughter of Neta Mae Stevens Johnson and the late Ben F. Stevens. For most of her life, she worked at Hiotts Pharmacy. Most of all, she loved her family and taking care of her grandsons.
Surviving are: her mother, Neta Mae Johnson of Walterboro; daughters, Tammy Terry and her husband David Gould of Laurens and Pamela Davis and her husband David Smith of Swansea; brothers, Ben Stevens and his wife Deloris of El Paso, Texas, and Lance Johnson of Walterboro; sister, Rosemary Dandridge and her husband Wayne of Walterboro; grandchildren; Joshua Davis, Preston Garrick and his wife, Amy and Chance Smyly; great grandchild, Cameron Garrick; step-grandchildren, Haley Smith and Anna Smith; special friends, Trussie and Joyce Mead of Walterboro; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Webb Smyly, III; and a brother, Roy Stevens.
