Barbara Eugenia Sheffield

Mrs. Barbara Eugenia Sheffield, 83, of Varnville, entered into eternal rest Saturday afternoon, September 28, 2024, at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Born November 26, 1939, in Estill, she was the daughter of the late Franklin William Zorn and Sally Mae McKenzie Zorn.  She was a member of Hampton United Methodist Church.  She was a very talented seamstress, cooking and needlepoint.  She had three dogs and two cats she adored.  Anything she did, she did it well. The love she had for her great-granddaughter was extraordinary. Barabara’s family meant the world to her; and she always made sure everything was perfect for holidays.

Surviving are: her husband of 66 years, Harry Alounzo Sheffield of Varnville; sons, Harry Sheffield, Jr. of Hampton, Franklin Sheffield of Varnville, and Joseph Sheffield and his wife Tina of Varnville; brother, William “Danny” Zorn and his wife Jackie of Hampton; sister, Elaine Anderson and her husband Bill of Beaufort; grandchildren, Stephanie Crapse (Brent), Laura Sheffield (Amiee), and Ryan Sheffield (Jessica); great grandchildren, Avery Sheffield, Walker Crapse, and Chandler Crapse; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately.
