ESTILL- Mrs. Barbara Ann Main Long, 72, of 4501 Two Sisters Ferry Road, Estill, died Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Roper Hospital in Charleston.



A memorial service will be held 11 am, Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Nixville Baptist Church. Visitation will follow at the church.



Mrs. Long was born October 19, 1936 in Bamberg County and was a daughter of the late Floyd Main and Kathleen Fail Main. She was a member of Nixville Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and crocheting; but most enjoyed cooking for family get-togethers. She deeply loved her family and centered her life around them.



Surviving are: her devoted husband, David Long of Estill; sons, Cecil T. Varnadoe of Fairfax, Danny M. Varnadoe and his wife Anita of Fairfax and Jerry A. Varnadoe of Fairfax; daughters, Cheryl A. Long-Eles and her husband Laci of Aiken, Debbie L. Bishop of Estill and Margaret Long-Bain of Denver, Colorado; brothers, James Main and his wife Hazel of Sycamore, Billy Main and his wife Gloria of Allendale and Marion Zissett and his wife Margaret of Columbia; sisters, Margie Z. Trull and her husband Marvin of Varnville, Ruth Z. Williams of Allendale and June G. Sweeney and her husband Roy of Allendale; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby L. Varnadoe.
