Barbara Heinle

Mrs. Barbara Jean Heinle, 67, of Starlight Lane, Cottageville, entered into rest Wednesday morning, September 4, 2013, at her residence while under the care of Amedisys Hospice.

Born December 21, 1945, a native of California, she was a devoted Navy wife traveling beside her husband as he served until they made Cottageville their home in 1986. She was a retired night stocker from Walmart in Walterboro where she retired in January 2012. Barbara possessed a special love for animals. She adored horses, raised many animals, and provided a loving home for many strays. She was also a talented seamstress, having created many beautiful quilts.

Surviving are: her husband of thirty-eight years, FTCS(SS) Donald Herman Heinle, United States Navy (Ret.); and three sons, Alan Lee Gamble of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Robert Marshall Gamble of Tampa, Florida, and Jonathan David Gamble of Gig Harbor, Washington. There is one granddaughter, Jaimi Sterling Oakerson; and three great grandchildren, Mason, Cameron, and Kyle Oakerson.
