Mrs. Barbara Watson Durity, 76, of Walterboro, entered rest with her Savior Monday evening, July 18, 2022, at her residence.
Born June 26, 1946, in Salisbury, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas Watson and the late Anna Mae Wilkins Watson. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She dearly loved the Lord and served faithfully all the days of her life. She was a member of and missionary leader at Faith Summerville and spent the greatest part of her life giving to others. She crocheted over seven thousand “baby booties” as her part in cause against abortion and she volunteered with Relay For Life.
Surviving are: her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Mr. George W. Durity; a son, Jeffrey D. Durity; and a daughter, Theresa J. Green. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth L. Durity.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Saturday morning, July 23, 2022, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
