Biography

Ms. Barbara Annice Crosby, 66, of Brunson, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Sunday, July 15, 2012 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in the Grimes Cemetery.

Ms. Crosby was born July 1, 1946 and was a daughter of the late George D. Crosby, Sr. and Dorothy Marie White Crosby. She enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are: her children, Brenda Lee Heisler (Jay) of Alabama, Clinton P. Williams (Tammy) of Grays, Kathy Denise Cooke (Allen) of Cummings, Jessee Miles Williams (Mellisa) of Brunson and Krista Kaye Williams of Ridgeland; brothers, George Daniel Crosby, Jr. (Donna) of Hampton and Delvin Crosby (Angie) of Walterboro; sisters, Linda Paige Sumler (Odis) of Varnville, Rose Marie Hagy of Walterboro, Marlene Fail of Walterboro and Darlene Benton (Richard) of Brunson; 19 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Tiny, Gizzy, and Angel. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Thrasher; 2 great grandchildren; and her grandmother, Bessie Churn.
