Auston Joseph Ray Holland, age 15, entered into rest Sunday afternoon, March 8, 2015, near his home in Cottageville.

Funeral services will be conducted 4 Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2015, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Roland Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery.

Born November 21, 1999 in Charleston, he was a son of James Ray Holland and Cynthia Grace Holland. Auston was currently a Freshman and Honor Student at Colleton County High School, and even though he was a South Carolina Game Cock fan, he had aspirations to attend Clemson University to receive his degree in Civil Engineering. For his age, he was an exceptionally bright and responsible young man. He loved all the things in life that typical teenagers enjoyed. He loved riding his dirt bike, football, four-wheelers, and basketball. He immensely enjoyed air-soft wars with his buddies as well as paintball guns. Auston loved and admired his family and possessed a huge soft spot for animals. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Cottageville.

Surviving in addition to his parents of Cottageville are: two brothers, James Kodey Holland and his friend who has become a dear part of the family, Cannie Morris and Kevin Ray Holland; his grandparents, Berlice Ray Holland and Sandra Lee Holland of Ridgeville, Joe Grace, Sr. of Williams and family friend, Sara Ann Barnes of Smoaks. He is also survived by an aunt, Loretta Lee Reid and her husband Paul of Ridgeville and cousins, Megan Miller, Trey, Andrew, and Savannah Reid.

Family and friends are invited to call Thursday for visitation with the family prior to the funeral service beginning at 2:30pm at THE BRICE W.
