Mrs. Audrey Ann Shore, 76, of Wade Hampton Road in Hampton, entered into rest Monday afternoon, January 6, 2014, at the Hampton Regional Medical Center.
A celebration of Audreys will be conducted 11 oclock Saturday morning, January 11, 2014, in the Hampton United Methodist Church, 200 Mulberry Street West, Hampton. The Reverend Sally Putnam and The Reverend Robert Sturdy, Celebrants. She will be laid to her rest during a family committal ceremony in Perryman, Maryland.
The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony in the Social Hall of Hampton United Methodist Church.
Born June 20, 1937, a native of Perryman, Maryland, she made Hampton her home in 1978. She was a daughter of the late Harrison Russell and the late Mabel Hughes Russell. Mrs. Shore retired from The Town of Hampton where she worked in dispatch and then served as Clerk of Court of the towns police department and had previously been employed by the Hampton County Community Bank, known today as Branch Banking and Trust. She was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Hampton where she served on the Mission Committee and in many other aspects of the churchs work.
Surviving are: three sons, Michael Shore and his wife Yvette of Las Vegas, Nevada, The Reverend Douglas Shore and his wife Ruthann of Barnwell, and Gregory Shore of North Charleston; and a daughter, Theresa Dobson and her husband Dewayne of Hampton. There are eight grandchildren and one great grandchild that also survives.
