Mr. Aubrey Louis Thompson, 67, of Walterboro, entered into rest Sunday evening, March 7, 2021 at Colleton Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 21, 1953 in Colleton County, he was a son of Joann Strickland Thompson and the late Daniel Louis Thompson. He worked for over 30 years in the heavy machinery business. He liked wood working and loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He loved to pick on those he loved, was a very jolly person, and was always full of life. Aubrey never met a stranger and loved to share his testimony with everyone. Through sharing his testimony, he helped many people get saved. He was a loving father, “Papa”, brother, husband and to his wife, he was the love of her life.
Surviving are: his mother, Joann Thompson of Metter, Georgia; wife, Jean Hickman Thompson of Walterboro; daughters, Kristen Kennedy and Kathleen Rine, both of Richmond Hill; grandchildren, Victoria Thompson, Mackenzie Thompson, Savannah Lee, Jillian Kennedy, and Georgia Rine; sisters, Bonnie Tyson (Doug) and Cheryl Conder (Forrest), both of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dianne Fleming.
Funeral services will be held 1 o’clock, Friday afternoon, March 12, 2021 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 4931 Black Creek Road, Walterboro.
