Aubrey Johnson

Mr. Aubrey Franklin Johnson, 66, of Barnwell, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. He was the husband of the late Frances Ann Corman Johnson.

Born September 10, 1952 in San Bernardino, California, he was a son of the late Roy Edward Johnson and Virginia Marie Turner Johnson. He served his country in the United States Navy.  He was a hard-working and very supportive father who would do anything for his family and will be greatly missed by his family.

Surviving are: his children, Gilbert Johnson and his wife Monaca of Hampton, Virginia, Alicia Covington and her husband Chuck of Hampton, South Carolina, and Desiree S. Johnson and husband Hampton Wayt of Aiken, South Carolina; grandchildren, Kenny D. Johnson and his wife Faith, Marlin Baker and his wife Jamica, Gabrielle Gorum and her husband DeMon, Selena Johnson and Mariah Covington; great grandchildren, Crystal, Jaidis, Kaileb and Joshua; and a brother, Gary Johnson and his wife Denise of California.

Funeral services will be held at 6 pm, Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Varnville.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 o’clock until the hour of service.
