Arthur Jerome Stone , Sr.

Arthur Jerome Stone, Sr., 70, of Varnville, entered into eternal rest, Monday, February 6, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital.

Born November 5, 1952, he was a son to the late Arthur Reed Stone and the late Frances Leone Sumler Stone.

Jerome worked for many years as a lineman with the Palmetto Electrical CoOp.  He was certainly an outdoors man, always enjoying hunting, fishing, shrimping and being out on the boat.  In his pass time he loved farming and being on the farm.  Jerome will always be known for pulling pranks on people, being a jokester and giving bear hugs.

He is survived by: his son, Arthur J. Stone, Jr. (Selena); his grandchildren, Reed Stone and Carter Stone.  He is also survived by his sisters, Cindy Swink (Barney) and Lynne Avant (Glynis).

Funeral services will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday morning, at the Brice W, Herndon and Sons Funeral Home - Varnville Chapel, 1074 Yemasse Highway, Varnville, South Carolina, 29944. Interment will follow at the Deep Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at 10 o'clock, Thursday morning prior to the service.
