Arnold Bazzle, Sr

Mr. Arnold Murphy Bazzle, Sr., 61, of 304 Carolina Circle, Walterboro, entered into his eternal rest Wednesday morning, December 26, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at his home while under the care of Amedysis Hospice.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Friday morning, December 28, 2012, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Daniel Cooper officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Grace Advent Christian Churchyard, 398 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

Mr. Bazzle was born in Walterboro on December 30, 1950, the son of the late Earl Murphy Bazzle and the late Frances Hiott Bazzle. He attended Walterboro High School and joined the United States Navy in 1969, having served during the Vietnam Era with assignments aboard the USS Ranger and the USS Coral Sea. He was retried due to failing health from the maintenance department of the South Carolina Department of Transportation in Walterboro and was also the owner and operator of Bazzle Trucking in Walterboro. He was a member of Living Word Outreach Ministries in Walterboro. Arnold was an avid outdoorsman, always enjoying the world around him. He was an avid American Whitetail Deer hunter as well as loved fishing the local creeks of Colleton County. He will be fondly remembered for the joy spending time with family and friends brought to his life as well as the passion he had in camping by a mountain stream or at Edisto Beach.

Upon his return to home from the service, he married the late Betty Lee Linder Bazzle who died in 1997. From their union was born three children, Arnold Murphy Bazzle, Jr. who is stationed in the United States Army at Kuwait, Michelle Bazzle Beasely and her husband Joey of Midway, Georgia and Angela Bazzle Lyons and her husband Jason of Richmond Hill, Georgia; and four grandchildren, Morgan E. Beasley, Cole Beasley, Chandler Lyons, and Jordan Lyons. He is also survived by a sister, Dianne Shuman of Early Branch; and an adopted sister, Carol Gaskins of Walterboro. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Bazzle; and an adopted brother, Billy Drawdy.

After the death of his first wife, he then married Margie Kinard Bazzle and he is also survived by her children, LaChrisa Lynn Ginn and her husband Joseph, and Travis Corey Crozier and his wife Jenna all of Walterboro; and four grandchildren, Austin Ginn, Calen Ginn, Corey Glen Crozier, and Sophia Grace Crozier.
