Annie Nix

Mrs. Annie Jarrell Nix, 83, of Summerville, formerly of Varnville, widow of Elder Marion L. Nix, entered into eternal rest Sunday, January 17, 2016 in Summerville. Annie was born December 1, 1932 in Fairfax and was a daughter of the late Wilbur Jarrell and Hilda Stanley Jarrell. She was a member of Sandy Drain Primitive Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary. Surviving are: her daughter, Vickie N. Polk (Jackie) of Varnville; grandson, Troy N. Thompson of Okatie; beloved grandson, Edward C. Mew, Jr. (Tabitha) of Goose Creek; granddaughter, Lori Mew-Stinney (Eric) of Goose Creek; 8 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and her best friend and beloved companion, her Chihuahua, Penny. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Arlene Nix-Vieau. Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sandy Drain Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Hwy 601, Estill.
