Annelle Beach Boensch

Mrs. Annelle Beach Boensch, age 89, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, October 13, 2024, at her beloved home in the Sandy Springs Subdivision of Walterboro.  She was a loving and devoted wife of thirty-four years to the late Mr. A. Cranwell Boensch, Esquire.

Born August 29, 1935, in Saint George, South Carolina, she was the last surviving of eight children born to the late Leroy and Lucile Beach.   She retired from Palmetto Rural Telephone Cooperative where she worked for many years.   She was devout to her Episcopalian and Anglican faith.  She was a member of Saint Jude’s Church in Walterboro and had also faithfully attended Christ – Saint Paul in Yonges Island.  In her church community, she was a member of The Daughter’s of The King as well as a faithful participant in Faith Alive.

Annelle enjoyed the great outdoors and traveling and was a steadfast companion to Cranny in all of his endeavors.  They were sailing enthusiast and won numerous sailing trophies in local regattas that were sponsored by various yacht clubs in the Lowcountry area.

Surviving are: two children, Susan Maley of Walterboro and James Beach, Jr. of Savannah, Georgia; five grandchildren, Robert Beach, Steven Beach, Samantha Denton, Becky Welch, and Christina Meyer; seventeen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.  She was also survived by Cranny’s children, grandchildren and extended family.   She was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Beach and David Beach and two grandsons, Dusty Butler and Joshua Hayes.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in her memory to:  Faith Alive, Post Office Box 51776, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87181.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, October 16, 2024, from the graveside at Live Oak Cemetery, South Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro.
