Anne Celeste Mitchell

Mrs. Anne Celeste Mitchell, 73, of Hampton, entered into rest Wednesday morning, January 15, 2020, at her residence.

Born December 8, 1946, in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Clara Brown and sister to the late Aaron Lamar Brown and an infant son, Calvin Glenn Paris.  She dearly loved her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Surviving are: her daughter, Melissa (Missy) McCallie (Angela Childs) of Hampton; a sister, Glenda Freeman (Wilbur) of Hampton; four grandchildren, Angel Duncan (Jerome) of Hampton, Zachary Fields (China) of Hardeeville, Rauqule Judson of Varnville, Antwuan Childs of North Carolina; five great grandchildren, Travin Fields, Jaylazia Duncan, Zyann Duncan, Jerome Duncan, Jr., and Camron Duncan all of Hampton; nieces and nephews, Mike Freeman (Debra), Tami Harvey (Joe), Al Brown (Nissee), Ashley Brown (David) and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, January 19, 2020, from Varnville Christian Church, 201 Sycamore Street, Varnville.  The Reverend Mike Freeman officiating.   The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony in the church sanctuary.
