Mrs. Anna Mae Rumfelt, 71, of 422 Tulip Drive, Walterboro, entered into rest Thursday evening, January 31, 2013, at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 oclock Monday afternoon, February 4, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Entombment will follow in Glendale Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
The family will receive friends prior to her funeral ceremony beginning at 1 oclock that afternoon in the Harbiston Stateroom of the mortuary.
Born February 12, 1941, a native of Iorton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late James and Dorothy Willis Woolum. She formerly resided in Muncie, Indiana before the family made Walterboro their home. For many years, she along with her husband owned and operated the McDonalds franchise in Walterboro, where she became affectionately loved by her community. She will be fondly recalled for her sweet and gentle spirit and the love and affection she possessed for her family.
Surviving are: the love and light of her life for fifty-five years, Mr. James Edward Jim Rumfelt; two sons, Joseph Dean Rumfelt of Walterboro and Michael Edward Rumfelt and his wife Susan of Walterboro; a brother, Johnny Woolum of Walterboro; and a sister, Linda Phillips of Muncie, Indiana. There are six grandchildren and five great grandchildren that also survive. She in 1993 was preceded in death by her only daughter who lost her life in a tragic accident, Rebecca Ann Rumfelt Kiser.
