Biography

Mrs. Ann Thomson DuBose, 81, of Merrick Drive, Round O, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Colleton Medical Center. She was the wife of the late John W. "Buck" DuBose.

Mrs. DuBose was born December 19, 1930 in West Chester, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of the late Eber Y. Thomson, Sr. and Mary Etta Parke Thomson Ammerman. She was a retired Supervisor of Retail Sales from WoolCo. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and working on puzzles. She also enjoyed bird watching gardening and loved her cats.

Surviving are: her children, Debi Walling (Tim) of Round O; Liz Perlman (Gerald) of Richmond Hill, GA, Cindy Stivender (Bill) of Cottageville, and Janis Headden (Alroy) of Round O; grandchildren, Michael Hawkins, Dana Kirgan (Travis), Craig Stivender, Amye Stivender, Tiffini Headden Varnadoe (Chris), Josh Headden and Cassie Headden; great grandchildren, Briston Kirgan, Tryce Kirgan, Annaliese Hawkins, Dillon Hawkins and Will Stivender; brothers, Walter Thomson (Peggy) of Ridgeville, Raymond Ammerman (Nita) of Frederick, MD, and Stanley Ammerman (Hazel) of Pimlico; special friends, Chris, Cynthia, Hannah and Adam Buchanan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Peter Alan DuBose; sisters, Mildred Montgomery and Mary Ginsley; and brother, Eber Thomson, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: ASPCA or to the charity of one's choice.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 3 until the hour of service. Funeral services will be held at 4 pm, Saturday, December 31, 2011 at THE BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, WALTERBORO CHAPEL, 1193 Bells Highway. Entombment will be held privately at Glendale Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
