David Anthony James, 67, of Ladson, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, January 19, 2025, at Summerville Medical Center.
Born November 30, 1957, in Charleston, he was a son of Jacqueline Polk James Ranly and the late David Porter James. Andy was a jack of all trades, who could fix and build anything he put his mind to. He was good-hearted, always willing to do whatever he could to help anyone and was dearly loved by his family. He was an avid fisherman.
Surviving are: his mother, Jackie Polk Ranly of Ladson; sister, Lisa Arnold of Winder, Georgia; brother, Harry D. James of Ladson; aunts and uncles, Judy and Alfred Bazzle of Ehrhardt, Carolyn and Bill Ehney of Islandton, Hershel and Betty Polk of Walterboro, and Azalee Polk of Islandton; nieces and nephews, Jessica Leigh James, Dana Rae Thompson, Joshua Arnold, Karie Marie Arnold, Davis Allen James, and Timothy D. James; several great nieces and nephews; and many cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean James; and his brother, Dale Rodney James.
Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, January 25, 2025, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Cross Swamp Cemetery, Lively Stone Road, Islandton.
