Andy Bowden

Mr. Andrew Augustine Bowden, Jr., known by many as “Andy”, age 62, of Walterboro, entered into rest Monday evening, April 13, 2020, at the Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.

Born May 21, 1957, in Hampton, Virginia, he was a son of the late Andrew A. Bowden, Sr. and the late Annie Pauline Singletary Hiott.  He worked in construction and will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors.  He enjoyed fishing as well as planting and tinkering in his yards.  His life was being with his children and he dearly loved his grandchildren.

Surviving are: his wife, Fay Rush Bowden; three children, Jonathan Lee Bowden (Shanon) of Walterboro, Bobby Dean Bowden (Tonya) of Walterboro, and Courtney Lynn Bowden (Matt) of Round O; two brothers, Charles Allen Singletary and John Lexton Lynch, Jr.; and two sisters, Paula Ann Lynch Collins and Tina Marie Bowden.   There are five grandchildren, Amber Ann Bowden, Kaylyn Bowden, William Willis, Kalleigh Bowden, and Andrew Bowden that also survive.  He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Augustine Bowden, III; and a brother, Vernon Eugene Sanders.

A small family gathering will be held 2' clock, Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Grace Advent Christian Church, 398 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro, SC, 29488.
