Mr. Andrew Preston Taulbee, Jr., affectionately known by all as Andy, age 66, entered into rest Sunday evening, November 16, 2014, at his home on Wesley Grove Road in Cottageville surrounded by his loved ones while under the care of Hospice Care of South Carolina.
Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon, Friday, November 21, 2014, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Bobby Ethridge officiating. Interment will follow in Fox Cemetery, Wesley Grove Road, Cottageville.
Born October 2, 1948, a son of the late Andrew Preston Taulbee, Sr. and the late Emily Elizabeth Ashley Taulbee, he was a native of Willard, Ohio, having made the Lowcountry of South Carolina his home for nearly the last ten years. He served our country faithfully in the United States Air Force and was a retired driver from Consolidated Freightways in Ohio. Andy loved the Lord and held his church family at Welch Creek Baptist Church in Walterboro very close to his heart. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, devoting much time to his Honda Motorcycles and enjoying many excursions on his bikes. He was also known by many as a Jack-of-all-trades, capable of fixing and tinkering with most any type of equipment. He will be fondly remembered for his love and selfless devotion to others, always willing to help those in need.
Surviving are: his son, Andrew Preston Taulbee, III of Monroe, Michigan; two brothers, Randy Taulbee and David Taulbee; two sisters, Andrea Johnson and Pam Postle; and the love of his life, Ms. Pam Griffin Ponds of Cottageville, He was preceded in death by a sister, Terry Cook.
