Andrew Hiers
May 12, 1930 — March 31, 2015
Mr. Andrew B. Hiers, known to everyone as “Bubba”, 84, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, April 3, 2015 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Born May 12, 1930 in Walterboro, he was a son of the late Andrew M. Hiers and Gladys Colson Hiers. He was a retired truck driver from Shell Oil Company and Rhodes Oil Company. Mr. Hiers served his country faithfully in the South Carolina National Guard. He was a devoted member of Evergreen Christian Church, where he was a member of the church choir.
Surviving are: his daughters, Gail Berry and her husband Donnie of Walterboro and Connie Hiers of Walterboro; sisters, Eloise McClure and her husband George of Walterboro and Helen Butler of Walterboro; four grandchildren, Heath, Chris and his wife Jamie, Tracy, and Michael and his wife Karyn; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Phoebe Youmans.
