Aimee Porter Harrison Parris entered into eternal rest February 9, 2017, after a brief illness. She was a resident of Auckland Plantation in Colleton County and also resided in Ehrhardt and Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
Aimee was born in Richmond, Virginia, in 1963. Aimee was the wife of James L. Parris, of Auckland Plantation and Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Sarah Schutt Harrison of Greenville, Delaware, and the late H. Preston Harrison of Richmond, Virginia. She was survived by her husband, a son, a step-daughter, and her mother.
Aimee attended Collegiate School and was graduated from St. Catherine’s School in Richmond, Virginia. She attended Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, was graduated from Mount Vernon College in Washington, D.C. She was graduated from the Tante Marie School of Cookery, in London, England.
She was interred beside her grandfather, Charles Porter Schutt, in the duPont Family Cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware. There will be a private service at a later date at the duPont Family Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Colleton County Museum and Historical Society, or to any local charity that cares for dogs whose owners can no longer care for them.
