Allen Charles Sell

Allen Charles Sell passed away peacefully Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro, South Carolina.

Allen was born on July 16th, 1939, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and is survived by his sister, Madeline Gregoris of Bethlehem and brother Eugene Sell of Macungie, PA.

Allen was a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame and served as an ensign in the United States Navy after graduation.  He was a Past President of the Notre Dame Club of Hilton Head Island, which had become his second family.

Allen worked on Wall Street in New York, and then purchased a restaurant in Pennsylvania before retiring to Sun City Hilton Head.  He was a Parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton, SC, and was very supportive of Catholic schools in the Low Country, helping to raise thousands of dollars of scholarship monies over the years.  The Notre Dame Club and Allen’s family are forever grateful to nurses and staff of Veterans’ Victory Home, where he was always treated with dignity and respect.

Allen will be interred at the Holy Savior Cemetery in Bethlehem, PA and services will be announced at a later date.
