Alicia Marie Vail O’Brien, 52, entered into rest eternal Saturday morning, December 19, 2015, at her home on Mt. Carmel Road in Walterboro.
Born January 27, 1963, in Oxford, Ohio, she was a daughter of Mrs. Kathleen Anne Daley Connelly and the late Mr. Donald Marvin Vail. Born and raised a Roman Catholic she was a member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Walterboro. Alicia loved her family and especially her animals dearly, always thinking of others and providing for those she loved. She was a beautifully talented young lady, possessing a great skill at painting with water colors and being a self-taught pianist. A desire to make the most of life and better herself led her to attend Strayer University where she was receiving her Bachelor’s Degree at the onset of her illness. At Strayer University, she was a Teacher’s Assistant.
Surviving are: her mother Kathleen Daley Connelly and her husband Michael of Barnstable, Massachusetts; her fiancé, Harry Lowell “Hank” Pappas of Walterboro; three children, Robert Ryerson and his wife Kierstyn, Devon O’Brien, and Tyler O’Brien; a sister, Leslie M. Britton and her husband Gene and their daughter, Nora Lynn Britton; and her grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy Vail. There are two grandchildren, Rose and Clover Ryerson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, D. Jr. Vail and Richard M. Vail.
