Alese Craven

Mrs. Alese Craven Craven, 91, of Round O, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at her residence under the care of Winyah Hospice. She was the widow of Mr. Heber Craven.



Funeral services will be held 3 oclock Friday, July 9, 2010, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery.



Mrs. Craven was born December 11, 1918 in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Jarvis Barnes Craven and Laura Isabell Keegan Craven. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will always be remembered for her wonderful cooking.



Surviving are: her son, Wallace Craven and his wife Jackie of Round O; daughter-in-law, Jessie Ruth Craven of Walterboro; sister, Doris Smoak of Walterboro; sister-in-law, Adeline Craven of Walterboro; grandchildren, Alesa Craven Murdaugh and her husband Curt of Round O, Rusty Craven and his wife Ronda of Round O, Alicia Marie Crosby and her husband Greg of Walterboro and Beth Ackerman of Round O; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Judson Craven; and 4 brothers.
