Mr. Albert William Barrineau, 90, of Hendersonville, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Colleton Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Black Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Mr. Barrineau was born February 21, 1921 in Charleston and was a son of the late William Jackson Barrineau and Annie Ree Cannon Barrineau. He was a lifelong member of Black Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for many years; and was a member of Unity Masonic Lodge, No. 55 for 42 years. He was a retired Fire Fighter, having worked on Parris Island for 23 years and was also a licensed airplane pilot. Mr. Albert was a helping hand to the community, a stranger to no one and was loved by everyone who knew him.
Surviving are: his wife of 51 years, Alice Moore Barrineau of Hendersonville; son, William "Will" Barrineau and his wife Jackie of Hendersonville; and three grandchildren, Heather Burns, Ally Barrineau, Joshua Barrineau. He was also known as "granddaddy" to Valerie Gibbons, Ashley Bryan and Sarah Kinard; and was loved by several nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Barrineau Burns.
