Mr. Aaron Gray, 86, of Prince William Road, Brunson, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. He was the widower of the late Annie Ruth Altman Gray.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Gooding Cemetery.
Mr. Gray was born January 2, 1924 in the Pondtown community of Hampton County and was a son of the late Lee Gray and Lula Fennell Gray. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a former employee of Plywood and Plastics, retired from Westinghouse and was a farmer. Mr. Gray was a member of Brunson Baptist Church. He will be remembered most for his love of farming and being in the outdoors.
Surviving are: his children, Linda Freeman and her husband Lynn, Ronald Aaron Gray and his wife Barbara and Larry Gray and his wife Kathy, all of Brunson; sister-in-law, Rosa Gray of Beaufort; cousin, Myrtle Beard of Jackson; grandchildren, Michelle Platt, Mickey Freeman, Brian Gray, Christopher Gray, Beverly Harris and Ricky Gray; and 13 great grandchildren.
